Outcomes Assessment
Each semester the AUCP provides its partner universities with a traditional transcript record of student performance, qualitative assessment results in the form of mid-term and end of program evaluations, as well as official outcomes assessment results in both French language acquisition (TEF) and intercultural sensitivity development (IDI).
Engaged in pre and post-semester outcomes assessment since 2000, the AUCP has set standards for the field. The decisive results of the Georgetown study* placed AUCP students apart from those of 60 other semester abroad programs; as confirmed by the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI), AUCP students make 10 times more progress in their intercultural sensitivity development than their study abroad peers.
